Event and Historical Information:
The CARAPANAMA was a small steel-hulled steamship of 43nt built in 1904. At time of loss in January 1905, the vessel was owned by J C Hermandos of Iquitos, Peru, and was enroute from Garston to Para. The ship is upposed to have sunk off the South Bishops with all hand in heavy weather.
